OUMSTUDIODIGITAL V.0.6.2 — Quick start
Install: open the supplied DMG, drag the app to Applications, eject the DMG,
and launch from Applications. Enter your supplied username and complete OUM1.
serial when asked. Activation is offline. Use the arm64 release on an Apple
Silicon Mac; the app targets macOS 12 or later.
Paint: Open Image…, select an Oum preset, and choose a mode.
AutoPaint: Action paints across the active layer until Stop or Escape.
Manual Paint: hold the mouse to paint near the cursor; release to stop.
Manual Draw: drag a hand-guided stroke. Stop before changing brush settings.
Layers: + Paint adds an editable paint layer. Source adds your source image as
a layer; Image… adds another image. Select an unlocked paint layer, then paint.
Adjust blend mode, layer opacity and visibility to mix the result.
View: Fit / Command-0 fits the canvas; Command-1 shows 100%. Pinch or
Command-scroll zooms; Space-drag pans. Drag panel dividers to resize the layout.
Save: Project / Command-S saves an editable .oumproject with a preview thumbnail.
Command-S updates its current file; Command-Shift-S saves a separately named copy.
After installation, double-click a .oumproject in Finder to edit it again.
If another app opens it, choose Open With > oumstudiodigital in Finder.
Finder previews use custom file icons. A transfer may strip the icon metadata;
reopening the file refreshes it where supported. The editable data and embedded
preview remain in the .oumproject. Save regularly and keep your own backups.
Export: PNG is a flattened image. SVG preserves supported vector paint geometry;
image layers/brush masks remain images. Save a project too if you want to edit.
Movie exports a silent H.264 painting-reveal MP4 at 24 fps, up to 1920 pixels on
the long edge. Set Duration to 1–60 whole seconds; maximum one minute. The app
remembers your choice. Rendering time may exceed the clip’s playback duration.
Stop cancels a current export. Source-video processing is not included.
Presets: Save Preset… creates an .oumpreset recipe; Load… opens one. Import…
loads a custom SVG/image brush. The Studio Artist tab primarily inspects original
presets; most original effects and PASeq files cannot run in Oum. Bricks Study
is experimental. The customer app does not bundle Studio Artist’s brush library.
Trouble : if no paint appears, choose Painting view and a visible, unlocked paint
layer with nonzero opacity. If the canvas looks cropped, use Fit.
If macOS blocks the app :
Go your setting Mac on Privacy & Security , scroll down and click Open Anyway.
